The Lead Labor Compliance Consultant is responsible for understanding and communicating the details of labor laws and regulations at local, state, and country levels as well as internal policies impacting employees. This role requires that the Lead Labor Compliance Consultant to support a compliance program that both mitigates legal risks to the enterprise and helps HR teammates to deliver best-in-class operations. - temporary position covering maternity leave (1 year) -
What are you going to do?- Support a comprehensive labor compliance program and work with stakeholders to sustain the program and ensure adherence to company policies.
- Monitor and interpret labor laws, regulations, and industry standards and provide counsel to HR leaders on those matters.
- Perform regular audits on HR systems and processes, assess any compliance risks and develop corrective action plans where required.
- Collaborate with SMEs within HR, legal and across the enterprise to address compliance issues and provide guidance on labor-related matters.
- Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies and ensure timely and accurate responses to requests for information.
- Lead training and education to HR teammates and management on labor compliance requirements and best practices; respond to questions from employee-facing HR professionals on complex matters involving labor laws and internal policies.
- Support and promote a culture centered on labor compliance and the employee experience; champion ethical behaviors in line with the business strategy of the organization and its leaders.
- Effectively communicate risks and advocate for compliance program to key stakeholders.
- Counsel HR SMEs on complete compliance matters impacting HR operations.
- Engage with an inclusive and growth-oriented team in a cross-functional environment.

- Proficiency in HRIS and other relevant software applications; employee data privacy knowledge.
- Bachelor's degree in Resources, Business Administration, or a related fiels; Masters degree or Juris Doctor preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in HR or law firm, with a focus on labor compliance or employment law.
- Extensive knowledge of and experience researching labor laws and regulations.
