What are you going to do?As the EMEA HR Accounting Lead, you will play a key role in managing and ensuring the accuracy of accounting processes across various countries within the EMEA region. You will be responsible for overseeing payroll, employee benefits accounting, compliance, and financial reporting, providing critical support to Nike’s financial operations.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Payroll and Employee Benefits: Managing payroll and employee-related benefits accounting across multiple EMEA countries, ensuring compliance with local payroll government requirements.
- ICFR Preparation/Review: Participating in the preparation and review of Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR).
- GL Reconciliation: Preparing and reviewing General Ledger (GL) reconciliations using Blackline.
- Ad-Hoc Tasks/Reporting: Handling ad-hoc accounting tasks and reporting as required.
- Project Support: Providing support for accounting projects and initiatives.
- Technical Expertise: Offering accounting guidance on complex transactions, including legal, impairment, and investments.
- Collaboration: Partnering with business stakeholders to review monthly financial results, ensuring accuracy, and resolving escalations.

What do we ask?We are looking for an experienced accounting professional with a strong background in HR and corporate accounting.
You bring:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in finance or accounting, ideally with exposure to payroll and employee benefits.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification preferred (or local equivalent).
- Proven experience with SAP and Blackline is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR).
- Experience working with Managed Service Providers is a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- A proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven approach.
- Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus.
