VHD Alarm

Safety is our top priority

The highest priority of Adecco Group Netherlands is the safety of our colleagues, temporary workers and seconded employees. The Adecco Group is closely monitoring developments relating to coronavirus and is following the recommendations of the government and the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment [Rijksinstituut voor Volksgezondheid en Milieu] (RIVM). The following are the most important issues.

Comply with the client's guidelines

With regard to temporary workers, we are observing the client's coronavirus guidelines. If you have any questions, you can contact your immediate superior at the client's company. For all other questions about coronavirus, you can always contact your Adecco contact person.

Fit for the Future

At Adecco we believe your future is important, especially now. That is why you can still register for our Fit for the Future programme. During this programme we help you assess how you can achieve your future goals. What do you need to get to where you want to go? What kind of education or training will you then need? Which path should you follow? We are keen to coach you during this process. More information about Fit for the Future

What should you do if you have any health issues

At Adecco we are following the RIVM guidelines and measures.

  1. If you have symptoms which are typical of coronavirus, such as nasal congestion, a runny nose, sneezing, a sore throat, coughing, a sudden loss of smell or taste, a temperature, a fever and shortness of breath, you should get a test! You can make an appointment for a test via www.coronatest.nl or by telephoning 0800-1202.

  2. Stay at home until you have received the test result. If you also have a fever, or shortness of breath, the other members of your household must stay at home until you have received your test result. If the other members of your household have symptoms, they should also be tested.

  3. A negative coronavirus test: If your test is negative and you do not currently have coronavirus, you and the other members of your household will be allowed to go outside again. If your symptoms do not disappear, or if they become worse or you get new symptoms, you should telephone your GP. In a life-threatening situation you should always call 112.

  4. A positive coronavirus test: If your test is positive and it turns out that you have coronavirus, you and the other members of your household must stay at home. The municipal health service (GGD) will contact you to tell you what you and the people around you have to do. You can view the frequently asked questions and background information here on the RIVM website.

  5. Test and trace: The GGD provides a test and trace service and will contact people who have been in contact with an infected person. They will also give instructions on how to behave, including how and when you have to quarantine at home if you have been in close contact with someone who is infected.

What can we all do?

We can, of course, all actively do something to help stop the further spread by taking the following precautionary measures:

  1. No handshaking

  2. Washing and drying your hands - We urge you to pay extra attention to washing and drying your hands, several times a day.

  3. Sneeze into your elbow - Be extra careful when you cough and sneeze and do so into your elbow to prevent spreading the virus via your hands as much as possible.

  4. Work from home as much as possible - If you have to be at work, take precautionary measures. Wash your hands regularly and keep at least one and a half metres away from other people.

  5. Work in teams -If applicable, work in teams with as few members as possible in the workplace. Make sure that the teams change every week and that teams do not otherwise have any physical contact with each other.

Adecco offices

Since June 1, Adecco's offices are open again by appointment between 8:30-17:30. Naturally, the employees will follow the guidelines of the RIVM. All offices and Adecco employees can of course also be reached easily by telephone and email. You can also contact us directly via the site.

Trips abroad

Everyone must be alert to preventing any additional spread of the virus. Do not travel abroad and only book a trip if it is strictly necessary. Please visit www.nederlandwereldwijd.nl for up-to-date information on coronavirus per country. If you decide to travel abroad after all, make sure you prepare properly!

Important: You are personally responsible for the risk you run by travelling to a country which is colour-coded orange or red. You should bear in mind that you not only run a health risk, but also a financial risk. A financial risk arises as soon as you cannot return to the Netherlands (for example because borders or airports are closed) and you can no longer work. It may also be the case that you are obliged to quarantine because you have been in a risk area. In such a situation you will, in many cases, have to bear the financial consequences. You will then, for example, not receive any salary for the hours you have been unable to work and/or you will have to take (unpaid) leave for the days you are not able to work.

Thank you!

We would like to thank our colleagues, temporary workers and seconded employees for their cooperation and understanding. Please do not forget the preventative measures and guidelines, stay healthy and persevere in these difficult times.
