Are you a hands-on technologist with Linux skills and a passion for solving real-world technical challenges? Do you thrive in hybrid environments, combining systems support with on-site operations? If so, we want to hear from you!

What are you going to do?

We are looking for a proactive and skilled Systems Support Engineer to support on-site systems and daily operations at a remote location (close to Amsterdam). You will be the go-to technical contact on-site—handling everything from Linux systems administration to hardware troubleshooting and operational logistics. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, with remote guidance, and wants to make a direct impact on critical vehicle operations.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain Linux-based systems, including application support, monitoring, and troubleshooting;
  • Assemble, configure, and repair server and workstation hardware to support site workflows;
  • Act as on-site smart hands for remote engineering teams—handling debugging, log collection, and hardware swaps;
  • Monitor and triage local system alerts, resolving issues that affect operational uptime;
  • Execute and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for site systems and infrastructure;
  • Support hardware deployments, maintenance cycles, and turnaround logistics;
  • Manage the handling of data-bearing components, ensuring alignment with operational timelines;
  • Oversee shipping, receiving, and inventory for site hardware and components;
  • Collaborate with operations teams to align systems readiness with vehicle deployment schedules.

What do we offer?
  • A gross monthly salary between €5,900 and €6,200 based on experience and a 40-hour workweek;
  • 25 vacation days plus 8.33% holiday allowance;
  • Pension contribution starting day one;
  • A unique opportunity to support cutting-edge vehicle technology and infrastructure;
  • High-impact, hands-on role in a mission-critical environment.
Where will you work?

You will be working for an internationally renowned organization focused on the mobility industry. It is a globally recognized company with operations in many different countries. On one hand, they provide services for transporting people from point A to point B, and on the other hand, they transport food from restaurants to customers.

What do we ask?
  • 2+ years of experience in Linux systems administration or systems engineering;
  • Comfort with command-line tools and basic scripting (bash, Python, etc.);
  • Hardware troubleshooting experience—BIOS/firmware, cabling, replacements;
  • Familiarity with SSH, remote access tools, basic networking, and imaging;
  • Experience supporting field operations, logistics, or remote environments;
  • Ability to document technical processes and follow SOPs;
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience preferred;
  • Must be based in—or able to regularly commute to—a remote site.
