This position is for 6 months to start with.

What are you going to do?

As Nike Planning, we combine insights and analytics to sense and craft how much product consumers will want, where and when they’ll want it. This offense combines work in the Merchandise Financial Planning (MFP) and Assortment Planning sub functions to support a more detailed and flexible approach to serve consumers and drive inventory efficiency for NIKE and our partners.

Location Planning is a Nike Planning specific function and is focusing on providing store-level demand plans on retail sales and KPIs

In this role we serve Nike doors across all channels with relevant and credible store-level forecasts, managing financial plans for our fleet - informing both in-season and pre-season Nike demand plans.


What you will work on:

  • Providing credible short & mid range store-level sales and KPIs forecasts for portfolio of Nike owned & partner stores (NSO / NVS / NSP)
  • Creating store revenue forecasts by capturing local market insights
  • Analyzing weekly business trends, driving clarity on results and proactively escalating risks and opportunities
  • Partnering with different stakeholders on revenue plans for the specific stores, planning assessment of demand in the marketplace
  • Re-forecasting weekly & monthly and determine regional specific actions to support sales and inventory management
  • Communicating regularly with Retail Directors & Managers and translating their insights into store level plans
  • Taking ownership on improving Location Planning processes: bringing improvements and efficiency to the current model to ensure ambitious fleet expansion plans are supported with the right level of service

What do we ask?
  • 2+ years of experience in planning for Demand, Retail, Merchandise, Operations, Finance, Analytics or Sales
  • Understanding the key metrics behind consumer demand, retail math’s, financial planning, and reporting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to engage efficiently with a broad range of audiences including MFP planners, Field Leadership teams
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage dynamic planning cycles within Nike Stores Team
  • An independent mentality and ability to seek and drive process improvements and efficiency
  • Ability to network, utilize internal and external resources, deliver commitments, and to meet timelines
  • Excellent knowledge of automated planning systems, MS Windows applications, particularly Excel
