We’re looking for an Inventory Planner to join the Converse WE Inventory Management team, sitting in the wider Operations department.


This role is responsible for several elements of inventory management, predominantly through the planning and execution of the monthly buy process across product ranging from Seasonal and Energy through to Core and Carryover. Alongside the routine monthly tasks surrounding buy process the successful candidate will also follow up and report on various inventory-related KPIs including production, delivery, and fulfillment, as well as contribute to process-improvement initiatives and projects. All this is managed through a lens of maintaining optimum inventory levels that supports business strategy and maximizes revenue.  

What are you going to do?

The candidate needs to have experience in an Operations/Supply chain role, ideally in inventory or supply planning, have a keen eye for detail and a proactive, self-starter approach. Working within a small team it is key that the candidate is an adaptable team player, while also comfortable working autonomously on their own individual categories and tasks. We are looking for an excellent communicator who is able to comfortably liaise cross-functionally with various stakeholders

  • If this is you, you’ll be working with the IM team and cross-functionally with teams such as Marketplace Operations, Integrated Marketplace Planning and Merchandising to carry out the following:
  • Monthly forecasting of buy volumes to maximize demand fulfillment without driving excess
  • Buy execution through analysis of current inventory levels compared against customer order books creation
  • Purchase requisition creation and adjustments
  • Production follow up with Global and Factory Liaison offices
  • Communicating risk to the business to relevant stakeholders on topics including On Time Delivery and Order Fulfillment
  • Maintaining optimal inventory levels through smart buy plans and collaborating cross-functionally on appropriate liquidation actions
  • Ad hoc reporting and system updates as and when needed


A typical day/week encompasses pulling large data sets to cross reference against POs and order books to draw appropriate analytical insights, fielding email requests from liaison offices to advise on production and purchase order updates, refreshing and distributing reports which provide updates on inventory metrics to the wider business, and purchase requisition/order creation and adjustments in SAP.

What do we ask?
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar function, including inventory, supply or production planning
  • A solid base knowledge of Supply Chain and Operations
  • A good understanding of an omnichannel business including wholesale, digital and retail
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Familiar with SAP
  • Meticulous nature with a keen eye for detail
  • A proactive and self led mindset
