For the EU Agency in The Hague, we are looking for an Interim Lawyer (Corporate Law) to strengthen the Institutional & Legal Affairs Department!

What are you going to do?

Role Summary


The purpose of this role is to provide day-to-day support to the Legal Service, specifically the Corporate Law team. This team handles the public law aspects of the organisation’s legal framework, including labour law. You will work under the guidance of a Temporary Agent (AD). The role does not involve management of staff or budget.


Duties & Responsibilities


  • Support team members in providing legal advice on the interpretation of decisions, rules and regulations related to the organisation’s obligations;
  • Conduct legal research and analysis of legislation, case law and EU best practices;
  • Manage public access requests (logging, reporting, correspondence with applicants) under supervision;
  • Assist with preparation and follow-up of meetings, including document drafting, archiving and minutes;
  • Perform any other tasks related to Corporate Law as assigned.
What do we offer?

A fulltime, temporary 6 months contract from 01-11-2025 until 30-04-2026 (with possible extension).


Salary range:


  • 4812,17 gross per month/27,76 gross per hour (5 years of experience)
  • 5444,73 gross per month /31,41 gross per hour (5 - 15 years of experience)
  • 6970,17 gross per month /40,21 gross per hour (15 years of experience or more)

What do we ask?

Education


  • Completed university degree in Law (minimum 3 years of study).


Experience


  • Preferably 2 years of recent relevant professional experience in EU and/or public international law;
  • Experience with legal research and analysis;
  • Proven ability to work in environments requiring high levels of discretion and confidentiality;
  • Experience in an international and multidisciplinary work environment.


Skills & Knowledge


  • Excellent command of English (C1 or higher);
  • Strong legal drafting skills and attention to detail;
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset;
  • Proficient in MS Office and internet tools;
  • Organisational strength, flexibility, service-orientation;
