What are you going to do?As a Container Mechanic, you are responsible for carrying out repairs and inspections on various types of containers. You ensure that all containers meet the highest standards and are ready for use.
Your duties and responsibilities:
- Performing repairs and modifications to containers according to customer-specific standards.
- Neutralizing sales containers.
- Assembling and disassembling reefer units in case of damage.
- Inspecting containers to assess and document damage.
- Recording all work performed on work orders.
- Welding: Proficiency in welding is essential for repairing metal container components. MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding techniques are used.
- Metalworking: The ability to fabricate metal parts such as plates, brackets, and reinforcements to replace damaged parts of the container.
- Metal Cutting: Proficiency in cutting metal using various tools such as angle grinders, plasma cutters, and acetylene torches to remove damaged parts and prepare them for welding.
- Measurement and Layout: Accurate measurement and layout skills are crucial to ensure precise cuts and fits during the repair process.
- Work according to established work procedures and safety regulations.
What do we offer?- gross hourly salary between €17.40 and €18.16, depending on experience;
- 14% surcharge for each hour worked;
- €0.23 mileage allowance;
- Two-shift system, Monday through Friday (5:45 AM - 2:00 PM / 1:45 PM - 10:00 PM);
- contract through Adecco;
- 8.33% holiday allowance and 25 vacation days (full-time);

What do we ask?- Experience performing technical repairs, preferably on containers
- Responsible use of tools and equipment
- Efficient use of tools, systems, and equipment
- Compliance with safety regulations and maintaining a clean work environment
- Willingness to provide a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG)
- MIG welding certificate
- Proof of a VOG upon commencement
- Presence of a VCA Basic certificate
