We are searching for a hands-on Netherlands Tax Specialist with a can-do mentality for our client in Amsterdam.

You will help them stay tax-compliant and up-to-date on new tax laws in The Netherlands and abroad. You will deal with the tax obligations and you will be involved in International transactions of the company.

 

Responsibilities  

  • Be an active member of the board of directors of your new employer;
  • Manage the daily tax aspects of the projects and the business with a focus on Corporate Income Tax, VAT and withholding taxes;
  • Involvement in the compliancy related to international investments;
  • Perform tax research of Dutch and foreign tax legislation;
  • Oversee tax filing compliance (like income tax, VAT, WHT and wage tax) and tax related reportings (like TP documentation and MDR reportings);
  • Identify opportunities and risks or uncertain issues, suggesting the possible resolutions;
  • Tax audit defense (to support the local Finance team on tax audit cases conducted by the local tax authorities);
  • Prepare tax calculations for quarterly and year-end closing period and monitor tax accounting reconciliation.

Wat vragen wij?

Qualifications

  • University degree in fiscal economics, tax law or accounting;
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant international tax experience;
  • In-depth knowledge in the accounting, taxation and regulations of the Netherlands;
  • Strong analytical and technical skills;
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken;
  • Proficiency in common Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Independent worker, strong personality and ability to work in an international setting;
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
