Start date is November, 7 month contract, 40 hours per week.

What does the role involve?

As you will drive sales, profitability, and inventory through the product launched on the .com platform. In this role, you will drive growth to achieve company financial plans while delivering the brand and geography priorities & vision. You will collaborate with geography and global partners to develop cohesive strategies and process to optimize the Digital business. Using data-driven insights, you will initiate and proactively partner with teams to manage the product life cycle and maximize SKU productivity. In this role you will lead a functional team of planners as well as allocation, ensuring to partner closely with key teams such as finance, S&OP, business planning and global teams.

What will you be doing?

  • Develop, communicate, and implement merchandise plans that maximize sales, margin and inventory to support financial targets.
  • Create long range SKU-level sales, inventory, and buy flow plans to then measure performance against these KPI’s and report back to key stakeholders. Maintain WSSI document and provide visibility to partner functions.
  • Effectively communicate and present to peers & leadership the strategies, insights, and action plans.
  • Actively engage with team members to seek opportunities and efficiencies within the business.
  • Coach and lead a team of planners and allocators to build the planning leaders of the future.
  • Oversee team management of ladder plans and drive solutions to optimize inventory and sales through the pre-season & in-season forecasting process, ensuring we never miss a digital sale.
  • Proactively drive in-season inventory by SKU, partnering with cross-functional team to create utilization strategies and plans.
  • Create process and lead product life cycle to maximize profitability and on-site assortment offering.
  • Develop markdown recommendations and pricing in alignment with open-to-buy targets and merchandising strategies.
  • Highlight and prepare current business in comparison to trend, plan, and forecast for weekly, monthly, quarterly business review
  • Analyze and identify risks and opportunities to adapt the current business and provide insights to tailor future assortments and buy placements
  • Run promotional cadence, assortment creation, and go-to-market aligned to WE Digital strategies

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 8+ years of relevant direct retail experience in a related role in merchandise planning, company planning or store planning.
  • Expert retail mathematics skills including intricacies of open to buy and margin management, retail and financial experience, understanding and familiarity of retail and digital KPIs
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven track record to prioritize and handle multiple projects at once
  • Ability to synthesize business performance into key highlights and action plans
  • Excellent communication & collaboration with a problem-solving mentality
  • High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint/Keynote; Tableau experience is a plus
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to challenge the status quo
