For the European Medicines Agency we are looking for a Project/Programme Officer in the office of Digital Business Transformation Task Force.


The perfect candidate is knowledgeable about Agile and Lean mindset and practices (preferably in the context of the SAFe Framework). Within the Lean-Agile Centre of Excellence (LACE) team, they will act as the team’s scrum master facilitating ceremonies, and helping the team working in scrum. The successful candidate, when needed, will also support the value stream leadership in tasks required to ensure the value stream's successful operations and communications with internal and external audiences (change management activities), as well as in coordination of product teams.


Role specific duties & responsibilities:


The best candidate will lead by example and incorporate the Lean-Agile Mindset and SAFe Lean-Agile Principles into their responsibilities:


  • Plan and facilitate all scrum ceremonies in the LACE team;
  • Support LACE Product Owner with Backlog grooming;
  • Coach Agile teams to be cross-functional, customer centric, measure success using data, guide our improvements;
  • Coordinate change management activities with impacted stakeholders to foster overall adoption and proficiency of SAFe across the agency, by coaching stakeholders and non-agile teams on effective interactions with Agile Teams, facilitating the Scrum Masters and Product Owner Community of Practice.

  • A level of education which corresponds to completed university studies of at least three years attested by a diploma.


Jouw profiel:


Essential requirements:


  • Up to 3 years of full time relevant professional experience;
  • In coordinating and organising projects and / or initiatives;
  • In dealing with internal and external stakeholders


Skills & Knowledge:


  • Knowledge and practice of frameworks (at least one year)
  • Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken)
  • Strong organization and coordination skills, attention to detail
  • Experience in facilitation of Scrum meetings and workshops
  • At least basic knowledge of agile methodologies (scrum, SAFe, Kanban)
  • Experience creating communication materials (e.g. in PowerPoint, Teams, ect)
  • Lean/agile/growth mindset

Nice to have:


  • Experience in coordinating and organising projects and / or initiatives including change management activities. 


Wat bieden wij:


A fulltime, temporary job from 01-08-2024 until 31-03-2025;

Salary range:

  • 4564,31 gross per month (5 years of experience),
  • 5164,29 gross per month (5 - 17 years of experience)
  • 6.611,15 gross per month (17 years of experience or more)
