We are looking for a candidate who is immediately available for this new opportunity. This role is a fulltime position for 1 year to start with.

What does the role involve?

We are looking for a Nordic speaking Payroll Specialist to join our Team in the Netherlands and take joint-responsibility for Nike’s Nordic Retail and Wholesale, as well as Converse payrolls. In this role you will handle large volumes of data and requests, from employees, team-mates, management, and key stakeholders. Therefore, attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are essential in this busy and varied role.


Working on the ADP GlobalView payroll platform, you will support our Sr. Payroll Specialists with:

  • Ensuring timely monthly processing, start to finish.
  • nsuring monthly, quarterly, and yearly filing to German tax, social-security, pension, (health)Insurance, and employment authorities, as well as to Nike’s in-country and EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) HQs is carried out correctly and on-time.
  • Providing timely, valued, and effective pre- and post-payroll support to your Nike colleagues within Germany, as well Payroll Management and stakeholders, via our HR employee communication platform, ServiceNow.


Key Payroll Responsibilities:

  • Assist the two Sr. Payroll Specialists on all queries related to Nike’s Retail and Wholesale payrolls and as such will ensure that all employees are paid on-time, every-time!
  • Ensure all new and existing payroll mutations are captured in payroll software (via automatic interface) before payroll cut-off.
  • Processing of loans, garnishments, health(insurance) payments, salary advances and deductions by liaising with stakeholders, vendors and handling the payment set-up in our Banking software.
  • Processing of Nike’s employee product discount program via payroll (as benefit-in-kind).
  • Run various reports in SAP, GlobalView, other systems to support payroll processing, as requested by the two Sr. Payroll Specialists and/or Payroll Manager.
  • Completion of post payroll administration tasks, including preparation and reconciliation of reports & controls, as well as readying the following pay period for future mutations.
  • Act as second-level escalation point on Nordic payroll matters from employees and stakeholders.
  • Provide general Payroll, Compensation, or Benefits support, as required.
  • Provide administrative support across the payrolls, as directed by the two Sr. Payroll Specialists and/or Payroll Manager.

Wat vragen wij?

  • 1-2 years of experience working in a Nordic payroll position, preferably within in an international company.
  • Knowledge of Nordic payroll & related Nordic payroll legislation.
  • Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills with the ability to learn additional programs as needed
  • Experience with HR and Payroll specific systems such as ServiceNow, SAP HCM, ADP GlobalView and Workday is beneficial
  • Fluent in English and Danish/Swedish/Norwegian
