For an international client, we are looking for a skilled Laboratory Technician to join their team. This is an intermediate-level position that involves performing a variety of routine laboratory operations in either a laboratory or plant setting, with technical direction from the supervisor.
What will you do
- Making measurements
- Conducting routine quantitative and qualitative tests
- Performing routine calculations and determinations
- Evaluating experimental results; some judgment will be required to interpreting test results
- Perform work under moderate supervision and receive regular instruction
- Assists in writing experimental reports, summaries, protocols, and appropriate documentation in lab notebook
- Work on assignments and perform tests that are moderately complex, where discretion is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations
- Normally reports to a higher-level laboratory technician or the Laboratory Supervisor
- This position requires the use of standard laboratory equipment and limited troubleshooting skills, as well as performing routine safety program checks and preventive maintenance on instruments

Wat vragen wij?
- A secondary diploma or equivalent, and two to four years of laboratory technician or closely related experience
- An associate degree/coursework in a related field (e.g. lab technician programs, college coursework in science, technology, engineering or mathematics) is preferred and may substitute for some experience
- Preference will be given to candidates who have completed an associate degree or coursework in a related field, such as lab technician programs or college coursework in science, technology, engineering or mathematics. Such education may substitute for some experience
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively
