As a Finance Analyst at Converse, you will support the Territory Finance Manager, to play a key role in realizing Western Europe’s potential in driving and delivering sustained, mutually profitable growth. You will be a strategic partner to the Territory Account Teams to help shape the marketplace and evaluate financial planning of our Wholesale business. 

 

 We have a fulltime temporary contract for 6 months.

 

What does the role involve?

Being business partner on a cross-functional team, you will provide insights that drive actions and impact the business. You will need to demonstrate strong business acumen, team mindset, can-do mentality, a strong analytical skill set, the ability to take analytics to insights and translate these into clear and simple action items and recommendations. The role is based in European Headquarters of Converse in Hilversum, the Netherlands. 


Who will you work with?

  • You will report into the Territory Finance Manager.
  • You will be a team member of the larger Commercial Finance Team.
  • Stakeholders you will be working with in the wider Finance function are FP&A and Customer Finance.
  • You will partner with the cross-functional Integrated Account Teams for the Territory wholesale accounts.

Core Responsibilities

  • Support the strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting and monthly reporting for the strategic accounts. Contribute to budgets that incorporate strategic business plan objectives and appropriate assumptions, within set timelines.
  • Actively review and interpret financial/business results and provide insightful analysis to explain trends within month end reporting, budgets and forecasts and identify risks and opportunities.
  • Work with finance and business functions to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness, as well as to enable integrated view and context between financials and business results.
  • Develop value-adding reports and efficient processes in alignment with relevant cross-functional stakeholders. Pro-actively seek for new opportunities to improve our reporting landscape.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis (scenario planning, internal requests, presentations).
  • Ensure integrity of financial statements and compliance with US GAAP.

  • Relevant master’s degree and/or professional qualification (CFA).
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
  •  Ability to deliver results against tight and complex timelines plus ability to navigate large amount of information, ability to “connect the dots” from various data sources.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience in working within cross functional business teams is considered an advantage.
  • Team player attitude, solid positive energy, confidence and integrity.
  • Excellent MS office skills, Excel.
  • Experience with SAP & BI (Business Intelligence) is a plus.
